How strange it is to be anything at all

Lately I found myself marvelling at the lush, unexpected paradigms of life. Just about a year ago, I wanted nothing more than to disappear from the face of the Earth. With help (a lot of it), everything doesn't feel as grey as it seemed.

One thing I'm grateful to have begun doing this year, besides being off my phone more, was learning to skateboard. I have always wanted to skateboard ever since my childhood bestfriend (Hey, Yan :P) and I knew what Sk8erboi by Avril Lavigne was. But due to recent events, I acquired a negative perception of the sport and so I took it upon myself to restructure the way I viewed skateboarding.. And this time, it will be on my terms. I've been skating a lot, switching from my rollerskates to my board.. And although the progress is slow, it's still progress nevertheless.

I'm currently rocking Kien Caples' 8.25" There Skateboards pro deck, with Krux Trux trucks, Girl Skateboard wheels and ofcourse, a pink Grizzly grip.
This is the first skateboard that I've ever bought and I do think it might take some trial and error. This particular one just feels a bit too large for my stature. I'm still finding it hard to "pop" the tail. My ollie progression? Don't even start. Currently obsessed with shuvs though, and body varials. Not that I'm any good but yknw, whatever.

Incoming low quality, potato photos I took with my phone recently that I liked.

A pic of a recent hang out with Nad, Voon and Wafi.

Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar - a very good read.

And lastly, of course gotta pay the cat tax.
